Power Supply and Rate Services

Schneider Engineering's (SE) Power Supply and Rate Services provides Clients with a full spectrum of power supply planning, rate design, pricing studies and financial planning services.  With our experience in dealing with the power supply market, our understanding of wholesale and retail rates / pricing, and our knowledge of our Client's business needs, SE is uniquely positioned SE to ensure our Clients success with these important projects. 

Power Supply Planning:  Power supply decisions are often the most significant, long-term financial decisions made by electric utilities. SE provides the services needed to evaluate, price and develop action plans related to long-term or short-term power supply procurement strategies.  We can work with you to develop RFP's for full or partial load requirements and renewable or traditional power supply generation resources.  We manage the RFP process, evaluate proposals, and manage the negotiations to finalized contracts. 

Rates-Pricing Support:  This service provides Clients with support in rate design, Cost-of-Service studies, rate / PCRF maintenance and other special rate analysis and studies as needed. SE can provide analysis and support regarding a broad array of load related matters, including the addition of new load.  We can also develop "Green Pricing" programs / rate offerings designed to support our Client's renewable energy programs. 

Financial Forecasts:  Cover a 10-year planning horizon and are used to determine key financial indicators, provide documentation for system improvement financing / loans and also indicate the time frame and need for rate increases.
