Schneider Engineering (SE) provides a full range of substation engineering services.  Our team of electrical, civil and structural engineers brings significant experience, knowledge and expertise in all aspects of substation design and construction management.

Substation Design: SE designs distribution substations and transmission switching stations.  We provide initial and final layout design, elevation details, steel fabrication drawing preparation, foundation design and ground grid design.

Construction Bid and Contracting Services: SE provides detailed project labor and material specifications, bid preparation, bid evaluations and project management so our Clients get the correct project specifications, a professional bid document, competitive bids and the right contractor for the job—all  at the most cost-effective price.

Major Material Specification and Procurement: SE has extensive experience in developing specifications and assisting in the procurement of power transformers, autotransformers, transmission and distribution voltage circuit breakers and circuit switchers, transmission and distribution air break switches, motor operated switches, substation steel, instrument transformers, and power line carrier terminal equipment.  We can assist with vendor prequalification, specification development, and bid solicitation.  Our technical staff can review the bids received to ensure that the submittals comply with the specifications, and assist your utility staff in making the proper equipment selection to meet your technical needs, business requirements, and reliability criteria.

Construction Coordination and Inspection: SE manages all aspects of the construction process including coordinating with contractors and inspections of the work.  The result is a successful project and quality assurance for our Clients.

Project Close-out and Certification: SE ensures that all project documentation is complete and certification processes are finalized.  SE understands that the final phases of projects are just as important as the other phases and ensures Clients get all as-built drawings and other necessary specific project documentation.
