Construction Work Plans

This service provides Clients with a short-term (2-4 year) system construction plan that serves as a guide for scheduling and implementing construction projects. The work plan identifies specific projects, budgets and timeframes for construction projects and provides system managers with detailed cost estimates for financial forecasts and budgets. Schneider Engineering (SE) Work Plans also give Clients documentation and support for any loan fund requests from lenders.

The primary purpose of SE Construction Work Plans is to determine the minimum amount of system construction requirements necessary to provide reliable and economic service to system consumers. The preparation of SE Work Plans is closely coordinated with system management and operations personnel throughout the process to ensure that the completed document meets both the system and financial operations goals.

SE Work Plans have the following features:

• Forecasts of consumers, MWH purchases / sales, seasonal demand by substation
• New consumer line extensions with associated line, transformer and meter costs
• Detailed system analysis based on system load flow models
