Schneider Engineering (SE) believes that this is an excellent time for our engineers to work with Clients to evaluate their SCADA / Smart Grid capabilities and to design (or redesign) a system to take advantage of current technologies. SE has worked with Clients that had recent upgrades to substation protective relay equipment, enabling a new level of control, monitoring and automation. In this situation, SE was able to design and project-manage a very cost effective implementation of a new generation of SCADA. Our familiarity with all types of control platforms, communication protocols and Client system configurations, as well as complete substation engineering expertise, makes us uniquely qualified to deliver SCADA solutions to our Clients. In addition, we have the capability to assist in the design and implementation of complete communications infrastructure, including fiber, wireless, WAN and LAN systems. SE provides the following services: - Evaluate existing system controls and communication capabilities and new requirements
- Design a new system using current technology and current standards
- Work with Client to develop bid specifications, bid documents and vendor / contractor selection
- Project manage and provide systems integration support in the implementation project phase
- Test new SCADA system to ensure it meets specifications
- Train and educate Client in how to fully utilize and operate new SCADA system
