Schneider Engineering has extensive experience in all aspects of distribution and transmission engineering. From design to inspection, we provide the full range of field services. Our field services team of experienced professionals are committed to every project delivery in a cost-effective, efficient manner – utilizing state-of-the-art industry tools and are dedicated to project success through effective project review, quality control, and management.
EASEMENT PROCUREMENT AND NOTARY SERVICES
Our field services team provides support in easement procurement for electric utility projects. Most of our staff are registered notaries, which allows us maximum flexibility in executing easements in the field for our Clients’ projects.
FIELD STAKING AND DESIGN SERVICES
Our Engineering Technician staff provides field staking services in direct support of the Engineering Team, or as an augmentation to utility engineering staff for Transmission, Distribution, and Substation projects. Our diverse experience with mobile field design software applications and state-of-the-art survey-grade GPS design equipment enables us to provide complete design solutions to meet our Clients needs and budget.
DISTRIBUTION WORK ORDER INSPECTIONS
Our inspectors conduct routine quarterly work order inspections for Clients to ensure compliance with the Utility’s applicable design standards and governing safety codes, such as NESC and NEC. Our inspections are fully compliant with RUS requirements and include annual system certifications and RUS Form 219, or other work order closeout documentation. Our reports are complete with photographs and required corrective items.
CONSTRUCTION INSPECTIONS
Inspectors are critical to construction project delivery to ensure adherence to safety codes, compliance with specifications and Client expectations, and completion of project scopes. Our team of inspectors possess knowledge and expertise in substation, transmission, and distribution construction to represent our Clients to get projects delivered successfully and safely.
Our inspection program’s COMMITMENT is to meet the specific needs of the Client and project. Our reports are comprehensive, addressing construction issues and correction requirement s with photographs and action items to support. Our reports are timely in order to minimize impact to construction schedules and mobilizations, and meet Client standards for documentation in support of RUS Form 219 or other certification standards where applicable.
INFRARED INSPECTIONS
By performing infrared inspection services, we are able to measure variances in temperature and view thermal energy emitting from transformers, power lines, fuse boxes, etc. The inconsistencies in colors detected by the infrared camera enable us to determine and diagnose areas of concern that are not visible with just the human eye.
SE offer this service to Cooperatives, Municipals, Investor-Owned , and Industrial Power Customers. Our high-performance FLIR infrared equipment provides high-efficiency, multi-spectral dynamic imaging. With Wi-Fi connectivity, it allows us to send images and data to smart-devices – enabling us to share critical information quickly.
Upon completion of the inspection, SE provides exact details and possible solutions to any deficiencies to the Client. Routine infrared inspections are an invaluable, preventative measure that can aid in early detection and correction of any underlying issues that may result in a safety hazard.

Construction Delivery
Design / Bid / Build
We are experienced at the traditional method of construction delivery following a complete design process. Our project managers coordinate the procurement phase from the beginning to end with processes to administer bidding process components including advertisements and notices to bidders, release of drawings and specifications, pre-bid conferences, RFI administration, bid openings, bid evaluations and recommendations, contract executions, and pre-construction conferences.
Engineer / Procure / Construct (EPC)
Our team brings leadership and innovation to the EPC methodology of construction. Our experience with traditional design/bid/build methods give us a strong market based pricing foundation for building competitive EPC proposals from project inception. Our team of engineers and subcontractors partner to deliver projects on time and within EPC budgets. Our relationships with numerous product vendors allow for quick pricing on materials to ensure our costs are accurate, and expedited lead times where required to meet difficult time frames.
