DISTRIBUTION ENGINEERING

Our Distribution Design Engineering teams provide practical solutions to our Clients’ medium and low voltage, overhead and underground distribution projects.  Our engineered solutions for distribution projects are based on applying Client-specific construction standards to a set of pre-engineered design guides to meet governing codes and standards.  Our field staking resources coordinate with our engineering staff to ensure complete engineered solutions are delivered for even the most diverse field conditions, including self-supported structure design and procurement.  Our experience with overhead projects include new construction and rebuilds, voltage conversions and conductor upgrades, and subdivisions and industrial parks.

TRANSMISSION ENGINEERING

SE’s transmission team provides Clients with cost-effective transmission solutions through multiple project delivery systems, including traditional design-bid-build and multiple turn-key engineer-procure-construct (EPC) methodologies to fit the needs of the project and Client expectations.  Our transmission engineers design using PLS-CADD software, and partner with our Clients to ensure technical objectives are achieved.  Our transmission team often includes our regulatory team to project manage CCN applications when our Clients’ projects require Public Utility Commission Approval.  Our approach has worked on projects located in remote and urban areas, as well as for specialized renewable projects.

SUBSTATION ENGINEERING

COOPERATIVE CLIENT
NEW SUBSTATION

This project consisted of material specifications, engineering design, and construction bidding and contracting for a new 138kV x 24.9kV substation for a Cooperative located in Central Texas.

MUNICIPALLY-OWNED UTILITY CLIENT
NEW SUBSTATION

As part of building a new 138kV substation in Central Texas, this project consisted of one 138kV, 20 MVA Power Transformer with 13kV feeder breakers and provisions for future power transformers and feeder breakers.

MUNICIPALLY-OWNED UTILITY CLIENT
BIKE AND PEDESTRIAN PROJECT

This project consisted of rebuilding sections of overhead distribution line to accommodate a road widening, addition of sidewalks and pedestrian/bicycle trails adjacent to a University campus.

INDUSTRIAL / POWER CUSTOMER
NEW GENERATION PLANT

SE served as Owner's Engineer for this project consisting of six GE Jenbacher 8.75 MW reciprocating engine generator sets.

Schneider Engineering (SE) provided turnkey engineering services as the prime member of the EPC teams for this large substation. It was designed and built to support both a new gas plant and existing gas plant in West Texas.

INDUSTRIAL POWER CUSTOMER
ELECTRIFICATION OF NEW WIND FARM INTERCONNECT

Schneider Engineering (SE) provided turnkey engineering services as a member of the EPC team for this large wind generation project. The wind generation project included fifty five (55) Vesta V100 (1.815 MW) wind turbine generators in West Texas.

OIL & GAS CLIENT
TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

The Program consisted of designing and constructing a network of 138kV interconnect switchyards to tie in to a 138kV transmission system, transmission lines from the interconnect stations to 138kV X 25kV distribution substations, and overhead distribution lines to serve various oil and gas production facilities and field pumping loads.

DEVELOPER CLIENT
MASTER PLANNED SUBDIVISION

This subdivision is a master-planned, artisan-inspired community located in Central Texas. Once completed, this subdivision will total 1,240 acres with 2,480 homes overall. Schneider Engineering is performing electrical and gas design.
