Schneider Engineering, a growing and dynamic consulting engineering firm located in Boerne and College Station, Texas, is seeking a Project Manager (Engineering Projects) to join our team.
The successful candidate will work on substation, transmission line and distribution line projects for our utility and industrial Clients across the region. The position involves creating project budgets and organizing, planning, and managing the service provided to Clients. This service includes drawings, specifications, studies, observation and inspection services, technical briefings, equipment procurement, and subscription services among a variety of other services. The role involves clearly communicating with all project stakeholders.
The position is located at our Boerne office and may require some overnight travel to project sites.
Job Duties:
- Interface with customers to define all project requirements and deliverables
- Prepare budget and cost estimates, along with work timetables for proposals to be presented to Customers
- Plan all phases of project from concept to completion with inter-disciplinary team
- Establish and lead team in the development of project scope, including managing their progress
- Oversee the specification and procurement of high voltage equipment
- Collaborate and effectively communicate with all disciplines and all stakeholders involved in the same project
- Monitor project progress to ensure on-time and on-budget
- Manage all changes for scope of work
- Effectively communicate any unforeseen delays with all stakeholders and develop plans to get the project back on track
- Enforce compliance: contract and project quality plan
- Responsible in coming up with solutions and or resolving issues for delays, emergencies and problems that can arise
- Ensure Client satisfaction
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Valid Driver’s License
- Minimum 5 years related experience in managing engineering and/or construction projects
- Ability to coordinate across disciplines and integrate all aspects of business
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Professional registration preferred
